This unique engraving depicts a male figure lifting a decorative panel or dial. It's detailing is extraordinary, including the faces in the architectural plinth that holds up the round object. Usually such a work mimics a ceramic work, thus this engraving could have been a preparatory work for something else. According to the title of the work at the bottom, it may seem that it was from a series. Found amongst pages that came from a Palazzo Corsini auction with Sotheby's, this is a rare and quirky print that is simple yet decorative in design. Colour and a contemporary feel is added to it by the teal frame I have picked for it.
This work comes with a teal frame.
