The Drum, 'A Trio of Pressed Iris Seaweed'
£78.00Price
The Drum is named after Drumboghill, a small family cottage sitting alone on a hill on the wild West Coast of Ireland, County Donegal where artist Flora lives. One particularly damp summer she discovered an old seaweed identification book and took to the beach at low tide to forage for the distinct and vibrant pink variations. She spent hours by the fire experimenting, teasing apart each individual frond and pressing every specimen with newspaper and tissue in old books. From then on, she returned Drumboghill to fill buckets of seaweed. These are wonderful decorative pieces that can fit anywhere in a home.
